Anil Kumar is a Research Specialist in the UW-Madison Cryo-EM Research Center (CEMRC) and the Midwest Center for Cryo-Electron Tomography (MCCET). Anil joined the UW-Madison Department of Biochemistry in June 2021. Prior to joining, Anil was a Research Associate in the Molecular Biophysics Unit at Indian Institute of Science, where he was studying structural insights of thermostable direct hemolysin of Vibrio parahaemolyticus using single particle cryo-EM. He also worked on cryo-EM method development – developing graphene oxide grids for cryo-EM applications. Anil received his Master’s in Biotechnology from the University of Madras in India. Anil’s current research interests are in supporting the UW-Madison Cryo-EM Research Center in defining structure-function questions on biological samples.
